About The OSLUV Project and the Neighbors for Clean Air Initiative

The OSLUV Project is an organization dedicated to clean air, environmental health, and justice. We are launching Neighbors for Clean Air, an initiative funded by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) to address air quality concerns in the Frogtown and Hamline Midway neighborhoods of St. Paul.

These communities face a disproportionate burden of air pollution due to their proximity to the I-94 corridor and local industrial sites. Studies link air pollution from high-traffic corridors to increased rates of asthma hospitalizations and other negative health outcomes. Neighbors for Clean Air will empower residents by building a community-led air monitoring network to collect local data.

In partnership with the local district councils, academic partners, and industry partners this project will make complex data accessible and actionable. Our goal is to equip residents with the tools to advocate for their health and drive policy change for a cleaner environment.
