    UPMC Shadyside is hiring a full-time Interventional Tech Specialist to join our dynamic and innovative Interventional Radiology team! This role offers steady daylight hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) and includes weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage (with two IR Techs on call at all times).

     

    As a vital member of our department, you’ll take on a leadership role in advancing imaging practices, onboarding new team members, and supporting the growth of our offsite locations.     What You'll Do: Develop and implement training programs and lead onboarding for new offsite locations Collaborate on reporting systems, image quality standards, and effective communication workflows Support the tech quality assurance program and assist in updating protocols Lead staff training on new equipment, supplies, and techniques Assist with accreditation responsibilities and ensure compliance with industry standards Attend advanced training and share insights with departmental leadership and new hires Serve as a technical resource for IR technologists and support continuing education needs Perform IR Tech II Advanced duties and contribute to research and innovation efforts

    + Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiologic technology.

    + Minimum of 3 years IR experience required.

    + Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**

    + ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist.

    + Secondary registration in VI required or equivalent.

    + CPR or BLS Required.

    + CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

    + ARRT Certificate

    + ARRT Radiography

    + Basic Life Support (BLS)

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

    + Act 34
