As a Leader of Software Engineering, you will lead the next chapter of our software evolution—delivering scalable, cloud-native platforms and customer-facing products that power Tektronix’s growth. This is a high-impact, high-visibility leadership role where you’ll inspire engineering excellence, enable innovation at scale, and build a culture that attracts top-tier talent.

You’ll lead a distributed engineering organization responsible for our key Software platform, partnering with product, marketing, architecture, and services to bring compelling digital solutions to market faster—and better.

What You’ll Lead

+ **Build and scale elite engineering teams** focused on velocity, reliability, and long-term platform leverage

+ **Set and evolve the technical strategy** , championing cloud-native architectures, modern DevOps, and reusable platforms

+ **Create a product-minded engineering culture** where developers are empowered to solve real customer problems

+ **Drive operational excellence** across agile teams with robust CI/CD, test automation, and data-driven decision-making

+ **Work closely with Product and Architecture** to align strategy, roadmap, and architectural patterns for scale and sustainability

+ **Measure and improve developer experience** , release cycle time, system performance, and uptime

What You Bring

+ 5-10+ years of experience building and scaling modern software systems, including 6+ years in engineering leadership roles

+ Proven track record of leading distributed teams across geographies and time zones

+ Expertise in cloud-native development (AWS/GCP/Azure), microservices, container orchestration, and event-driven architectures

+ Strong grasp of modern full-stack development (Java/.NET/Go, React/TypeScript, REST/gRPC APIs) and relational + NoSQL databases

+ Operational fluency in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, SRE practices, and secure software delivery at scale

+ Experience hiring, coaching, and retaining senior engineering talent and cultivating high-performance cultures

+ Passion for metrics: lead time, incident rate, team health, technical debt, and system performance

+ Exceptional collaboration and communication skills—able to inspire technical and non-technical stakeholders alike

Bonus Points For:

+ Experience modernizing legacy stacks and refactoring toward platform-oriented architecture

+ Deep knowledge of developer platforms, SDKs, or tools in B2B environments

+ Exposure to AI/ML product development or analytics pipelines

+ Experience building software for hardware-in-the-loop systems, test and measurement, or embedded integrations

Bonus or Equity

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Pay Range

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 208,300.00 - 386,800.00
