The Housekeeping Coordinator – Inventory Focus plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the housekeeping department by managing inventory control, supply distribution, and administrative coordination. This position ensures that all housekeeping materials, linens, and guest supplies are adequately stocked, tracked, and issued in a timely and efficient manner. The coordinator serves as the communication link between the housekeeping team, purchasing, and other hotel departments to maintain operational efficiency and exceptional guest satisfaction
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality operations, preferably in a supervisory or coordination role.
+ Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Certification in hospitality management or related field.
+ Experience using housekeeping management software or scheduling tools.
+ Knowledge of health and safety regulations specific to the accommodation industry.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training and development.
+ Multilingual abilities to communicate with diverse staff and guests.
Responsibilities:
+ Supervise and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of guest rooms and public areas.
+ Develop and manage staff schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to maintain operational efficiency.
+ Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.
+ Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to avoid shortages.
+ Train new housekeeping employees on procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
+ Collaborate with maintenance and front desk teams to address guest requests and resolve any housekeeping-related issues promptly.
+ Maintain accurate records of work completed, staff attendance, and supply usage for reporting purposes.
