Description
We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer to join our Data & Analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau. This role is vital to implementing solutions that unlock the power of intelligence-driven decision making to support business goals and outcomes across various organizations and industries.

Role Responsibilities
+ Dashboard Development & Visualization
+ Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau Desktop
+ Create compelling data stories that translate complex datasets into actionable business insights
+ Build self-service analytics solutions for various business units
+ Optimize dashboard performance and ensure scalability across different user groups
+ Experience with the Human Centered Design approach, Design Thinking or emphasis on User Interaction (UI) in BI design.
+ Data Management & Integration
+ Connect Tableau to various data sources including databases, cloud platforms, and APIs
+ Perform data modeling, and create calculated fields and parameters
+ Collaborate with data engineers to ensure proper data pipeline integration
+ Maintain data accuracy and integrity across all Tableau workbooks and data sources
+ Collaboration & Support
+ Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and analytical needs
+ Partner with data analysts, business intelligence teams, and IT to deliver comprehensive solutions
+ Provide training and support to end users on Tableau functionality and best practices
+ Document technical specifications, data lineage, and dashboard functionality
+ Assist with writing technical solutions and assemble design artifacts (functional design documents, report wireframes, data flow diagrams, data models, etc.).
+ Platform Administration
+ Support Tableau Server/Cloud administration including user management and content governance
+ Implement security protocols and access controls for sensitive data
+ Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues
+ Maintain version control and deployment processes for Tableau content
Requirements
+ Technical Skills
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop, Server, and/or Cloud
+ Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
+ Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
+ Experience with data modeling concepts and dimensional modeling
+ Knowledge of database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
+ Analytical & Business Skills
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
+ Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
+ Understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis methodologies
+ Ability to work with large, complex datasets from multiple sources
+ Communication & Collaboration
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
+ Strong project management and organizational skills
+ Experience working in cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills
+ Advanced Technical Experience
+ Certified Tableau Desktop Foundations or Certified Tableau Data Analyst certification
+ Experience with advanced Tableau features (LOD expressions, table calculations, parameters)
+ Knowledge of Python, R, or other statistical programming languages
+ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
+ Familiarity with ETL tools and data pipeline development
+ Domain Knowledge
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; or work experience of equal value to formal education. Post-graduate degrees and/or certifications are beneficial
+ Experience in specific industry verticals (pharmacy, healthcare, retail, etc.)
+ Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
+ Experience with agile development methodologies
Where You'll Work
Moser has two offices in Indianapolis, IN, and one in Baltimore, MD. This position will require a hybrid/onsite work schedule out of our downtown or Castleton office.
