The Mechanical Assembler I at Aqua-Chem requires a level of mechanical aptitude conducive to learning new skills with a desire to learn.

Schedule: (1st Shift) Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm (OT may be required on Friday's 6:00am - 2:30pm)

Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.00/hr, Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties:

+ Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.

+ Perform basic duties such as bending metal tubing with the use of rolling and bending machines.

+ Ability to run a cold and cutoff saw.

+ Perform basic assembly of metal materials as part of a larger assembly production.

+ Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space as well as around the manufacturing floor as requested.

+ Comprehend and follow ISO procedures to ensure compliance with standard.

+ Move materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper workflow.

+ Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.

+ Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools to assemble components.

+ Safety awareness with the willingness to perform duties safely while wearing proper PPE.

+ Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Education/Experience:

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen

+ High School Diploma/GED required

+ Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on cement surfaces and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, climb ladders, and climb stairs.

+ Must be able to work in temperature ranges corresponding to the outside ambient temperatures.

+ Able to work overtime as required

Requirements:

+ At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment, preferred but not required.

+ Basic shop math and measurement skills

+ Basic reading and interpretation of blueprints/drawings
