Position Overview
The Associate Manager’s p rimary responsibilities will be to provide supervisory oversight on all activities and responsibilities pertaining to; Inventory Control Warehouse Operations. This position will have direct reports. Career development paths for this individual could include; Manager Inventory Control, Associate Director Inventory Operations, Director Inventory Operations. This position is second shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Responsible for managing supply levels based on immediate demand, forecast quantities, and material lead times.
+ Responsible for maintaining communications with procurement and other departments as it relates to new item enrollment and storage in the controlled inventory warehouse.
+ Daily responsibilities will include performing and overseeing receipt and issuance of raw materials goods.
+ Reviewing expiry reports and communicating 30 / 60 / 90 day issues to the appropriate departments.
+ Ensure stock levels are identified, assigned, and communicated to procurement for proper ordering volumes.
+ Overseeing all temperature controlled units to ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and space is properly allocated based on incoming materials.
+ Ensuring all counting events are scheduled, communicated, and followed per local standing operating procedures.
+ Work with Environmental, Health & Safety for the proper cradle to grave waste disposal for unusable materials and other waste streams generated.
+ Prepares reports, analyze data, and make recommendations to increase operational efficiencies within inventory control purview.
+ Provide leadership with Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as assigned by direct Management.
+ Assist in the continual development of Abeona’s ERP system as it pertains to inventory operations.
+ Assist in the assessment and implementation of core standing operating procedures for the supply chain department (Inventory Control, shipping & receiving).
+ Assist in providing continual review, improvement, and assessment of Supply Chain functions for future growth.
+ Other duties or projects assigned by management.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's (BA) degree or combination of education and experience.
+ Minimum of 5 years of work experience in material/component procurement; experience in a pharma / biotech manufacturing environment is a plus.
+ Intermediate to advanced level in MS Office, experience with ERP systems is a plus .
+ Ability to learn reporting tools.
+ Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with members of management team and staff
+ Must have good writing skills.
+ Must have good time management skills and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently or within a team.
+ Able to prioritize the workload to ensure delivery against tight deadlines.
