    We are a growing construction company based in Gig Harbor, WA, dedicated to delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects throughout the South Sound. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Accountant to join our team and help streamline our financial operations.

    Position Summary:

    The Construction Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial reporting, job costing, billing, and general accounting functions specific to construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the construction industry and a strong understanding of project-based accounting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage job costing and maintain accurate project financials

    + Prepare monthly financial statements and job cost reports

    + Track budgets, change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders

    + Manage AP/AR processes, vendor payments, and client billings

    + Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts

    + Support project managers with budget tracking and financial reporting

    + Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies

    + Assist with year-end audit and tax preparation

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + 3+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry required

    + Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 100 Contractor, or Foundation)

    + Strong understanding of job cost accounting principles

    + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

    + Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

    + Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both finance and operations teams

    + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
