Description We are looking for an experienced Valuation Services Manager to join a dynamic public accounting firm in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will lead valuation engagements, oversee reviews of third-party appraisals, and provide expert consulting services for various financial needs, including tax planning, financial reporting, and litigation. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients across diverse industries.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed reviews of third-party appraisals to support audit processes.

• Plan and manage the scope, execution, and daily activities of multiple valuation engagements.

• Ensure deliverables meet high standards of accuracy and quality while mitigating engagement risks.

• Build strong client relationships and provide expert guidance throughout the valuation process.

• Clearly communicate and document valuation methodologies and related accounting issues.

• Prepare and finalize comprehensive valuation reports with precision and clarity.

• Provide valuation services across industries for purposes such as financial reporting, tax compliance, and litigation.

• Deliver business and intangible asset valuations for mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and corporate planning.

• Collaborate with accounting and auditing teams to align valuation services with client needs.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulations to enhance service delivery. Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in valuations services with experience in valuations of intangible assets (customer relationships, trade names and technology); contingent consideration (earn-outs); share-based award valuations (SARs, options); warrants; convertible preferred stock; and convertible debt.

Strong understanding of financial reporting and tax-related valuations

Self-motivated with research, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage client relationships and oversee multiple, concurrent valuation engagements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Analytical financial modeling skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for client interaction and reporting.

Expertise in business and intangible asset valuations for various financial purposes.

Familiarity with litigation support and regulatory compliance requirements.

Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.

Advanced knowledge of valuation methodologies and accounting principles.

Education and Licenses:

+ Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field required

+ ASA, CFA, ABV, CPA certification preferred
