We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Quality Data Systems Manager to take ownership of our quality data platforms and corrective action systems for Leggett’s US Spring Business Unit. As Quality Data Systems Manager, US Spring, you will report directly to the Director of Quality and help streamline data flow between current and upcoming systems. In this pivotal role, you will lead the optimization of our quality systems used for data entry, analytics and issue resolution. You will champion continuous improvement efforts based on feedback from our internal and external users. This position is ideal for someone who understands the intersection of systems, processes, and people and can turn data into actionable quality enhancements.
So, what will you be doing as a Quality Data Systems Manager?
+ Responsible for Quality Data Systems at US Spring: Manage and improve platforms used for quality data entry, tracking, and analytics.
+ Own the CAPA Process: Administer our corrective and preventive action (CAPA) system, ensuring timely investigations, root cause analysis, and effective resolution.
+ Drive Continuous Improvement: Provide support to the US Spring Compliance Manager by analyzing trends in quality performance metrics, identifying systemic issues that will drive meaningful continuous improvement efforts.
+ Audit & Compliance Support: Ensure readiness and compliance for internal audits, customer audits, and external regulatory inspections.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Information Systems, Quality Software Technicians, Leggett’s Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations teams to align quality efforts into our Quality Systems.
+ Training & Standardization: Develop SOPs and train team members on quality platforms, workflows, and best practices.
+ Streamline our data and information processing and analysis of First Production qualifications such as PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process) and/or APQP (Advanced Production Quality Planning).
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Quality, or related field is preferred. Or equivalent experience in related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in quality systems within a manufacturing environment (preferably regulated or ISO-certified).
+ Hands-on experience managing CAPA platforms and quality data tools (e.g., Power BI, QMS platforms, Statistical Software, etc.).
+ Strong understanding of ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar quality frameworks.
+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
+ Ability to lead changes and influence across departments.
+ Ability to travel up to 25% of the tim e
