About the role

As a Lead AWS Data Engineer you will make an impact by working on a brand-new project and promote innovation within our organization. You will be a valued member of the Manufacturing and Logistics team and work collaboratively with team members, managers and clients.

In this role, you will:

+ Building optimizing Data LakeHouse with Open Table formats

+ Kubernetes deployments and cluster administration

+ Transitioning on premise big data platforms to scalable cloud-based platforms like AWS

+ Distributed Systems Microservice architecture and containers

+ Cloud Streaming use cases in Big Data Ecosystems e.g EMR EKS Hadoop Spark Hudi Kafka Kinesis

+ Key technology abilities in AWS platform and services

What you need to have to be considered

+ 8+ years in an IT related role

+ Must have Skilled in EKS & Kubernetes, Apache Hudi, Flink, PostgreSQL and SQL, RDS

+ Good experience with AWS – IAM, API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, Lake Formation, Glue (Catalog, ETL, Crawler), Athena, S3 (Strong foundational concepts like object data store vs block data store, encryption/decryption, storage tiers etc)

+ Good hands on experience using Python

Salary and Other Compensation:

Application will be accepted until August 15, 2025

The annual salary for this position is between $81,000- $156,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
