    Who we’re looking for

     

    Toyota Financial Services is seeking a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to join our Technology Operations Center (TOC). This role is hands-on and focused on ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our AWS-hosted platforms. You will lead troubleshooting during outages, provide deep operational support for cloud services, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve platform resiliency.

    What you’ll be doing

    + Act as a lead responder during major incidents, coordinating resolution efforts across teams.

    + Provide deep operational support for AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, Route 53, Kubernetes).

    + Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to improve reliability and prevent recurrence.

    + Monitor and optimize cloud systems using tools such as CloudWatch and Dynatrace.

    + Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CLI) to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.

    + Partner with platform engineering teams to ensure seamless transitions of new services to operations.

    + Maintain and improve operational documentation, runbooks, and incident processes.

    What you bring

    + Proven hands-on experience supporting AWS environments in production.

    + Strong incident response and troubleshooting skills (Linux, Windows, networking).

    + Advanced knowledge of AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, Route 53, Kubernetes.

    + Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

    + AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent practical experience.

    + Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Dynatrace, CloudWatch).

    + Strong understanding of ITSM and major incident management processes.

    Added bonus if you have

    + ITIL Foundation Certification.

    + AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.

    + Experience with Docker and containerization tools.

    + Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK stack).

    + Experience with cloud security best practices.
