Job Title: Shop Mechanic

Job Description

As a Shop Technician, you will perform testing, repairs, and maintenance activities on forklifts and other equipment. You will work under the guidance of a supervisor and have the opportunity to grow through training classes. Your role will involve providing a positive image to customers and collaborating effectively with all departments.

Responsibilities

+ Diagnose unit problems accurately.

+ Attend and participate in all service-related meetings.

+ Complete and submit paperwork to the Service Manager in a timely manner, ensuring legibility and completeness, with customer signatures on required paperwork.

+ Communicate regularly with the Service Manager, Parts Department, and CSS to build and maintain reliable, positive relationships.

+ Support the parts department by allowing time for stock orders, supplying correct unit information for proper part ordering, keeping shop inventory clean and organized, and utilizing critical parts orders when needed.

Essential Skills

+ Repair and mechanical skills.

+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

+ Knowledge of pneumatics and wiring installation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in installation and maintenance activities.

+ Ability to work cohesively with all departments.

+ Press tires.

+ Drive a work truck to site.

+ Customer service skills.

+ Engine and transmission swaps.

+ Brake maintenance.

+ Oil changes.

Work Environment

You will work in a mechanical environment with various equipment and loud sounds. Our facilities are designed to support efficient and organized workflows. The position is based in a mechanical shop environment in Pasco, Washington, and entails working with hydraulics, electrical systems, heavy equipment, pneumatics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance among others.

This is a Permanent position based out of Yakima, WA

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
