    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled machine operator to set up and run manual engine lathes. The role involves using calipers and micrometers to measure products and materials, complying with manufacturing and safety practices, and operating CNC machines with pre-written programs. General housekeeping duties of the workstation and communication with the production team are also required.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and run manual engine lathes.

    + Use calipers and micrometers for measuring products and materials.

    + Comply with manufacturing and safety practices.

    + Operate CNC machines and execute pre-written programs.

    + Perform general housekeeping duties of the workstation.

    + Communicate effectively with the production team.

    + Perform setups and machine blowouts after shifts.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in machine operation.

    + Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and circumference readers.

    + Experience working as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment.

    + Attention to detail and ability to read and understand operating procedures.

    + Experience in machine setup and measuring tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience operating a CNC machine is a plus.

    + Blueprint reading experience is a plus.

    + Must be able to read and write in English.

    + Ability to perform setups and changeovers of machines as needed.

    + Strong attendance record is extremely important.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeland, Florida.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
