Required Skills:

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various mobile software services.

2. Work closely with product and design teams to build new and innovative application experiences for the iOS platform, and designing new server logic/APIs for the PHP/Hack-based server backend.

3. Implement custom native user interfaces using the latest iOS programming techniques and development tools.

4. Implement custom internal tools using the latest PHP-/Hack/JavaScript programming techniques/ Build reusable iOS software components for interfacing with our back-end platforms.

5. Analyze and optimize UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance.

6. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires review of a variety of factors.

7. Work independently, use available resources to get unblocked, and complete tasks on schedule by exercising strong judgment and problem solving skills.

8. Master company development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity.

9. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field. Requires completion of a university course, research project, or internship involving the following:

12. 3. Operating systems, including processes, interprocess communication, CPU scheduling, mutual exclusion, deadlocks, I/O devices, file systems, and protection mechanisms

13. 4. Programming paradigms and tools for medium-to-large projects: revision control, UNIX tools, performance analysis, GUI, software engineering, testing, and documentation

15. 6. Design and construction of reliable, maintainable and useful software systems

16. 7. Design and analysis of efficient algorithms, including sorting, searching, dynamic programming, graph algorithms, fast multiplication

17. 8. Applied probability for statistical learning, including Bayesian probability and inference

18. 9. Developing mobile applications for iOS devices for the iPhone, iPad and other iOS based products

$176,361/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
