Position Summary
Responsible for the supervision of the inpatient Physical and Occupational Therapy Department. Daily responsibilities include maintaining productivity and a focus on patient throughput. This includes attending multidsciplary rounds/huddles on all inpatient units. Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department to be optimize efficiency and quality patient outcomes.Administer Physical Therapy evaluations and treatments according to the established standard of Physical Therapy, physician’s referral, and Physical Therapy plan of care. Provide supervision to staff therapists and support staff.
Primary Position Responsibilities
+ Responsible for all management functions and operations for the inpatient PT & OT Department including Human Resource Management, financial/budget management and daily operations.
+ Evaluates all patients by identifying the patient's primary problems and develops a treatment plan.
+ Performs and modifies or updates patient treatment programs to maximize patient outcomes.
+ Documents information to assure continuity of care and maximize reimbursement/billing accuracy.
+ Maintains schedule to attain productivity standards. Is responsible for the department budget and variance monthly.
+ Monitors daily performance of staff.
+ Provides supervision to PT, PTA, PT/PTA students, OT, OTA, OT Students and various levels of support personnel and volunteers.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy
Preferred:
Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

Current NJ State License
