    An organization within Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems Sector, Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA) is a leading innovator in advanced microelectronics design and fabrication. MDA is seeking a **Staff Systems Engineer.** This position is located in **Baltimore, MD** .

    What You’ll get to Do:

    + Collaborate with domain experts to ensure that the hardware meets the technical requirements for signal generation, analysis, and measurement.

    + Ensure that the hardware architecture supports responsive and real-time user interactions.

    + Identify and address performance bottlenecks in hardware systems, ensuring that the instruments operate with minimal latency and high throughput.

    + Act as a technical liaison between software development teams, hardware engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

    + Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), program manager, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline.

    + Collaborate with project managers to estimate project timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables related to hardware development for electronic instruments.

    + Interface with inter-organizational management and external Customer to communicate technical briefing and program status.

     

    This position will serve on-site in Linthicum/** **Annapolis Junction, MD** **_._

    Basic Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer:

    + Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience.

    + Demonstrated Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML).

    + Demonstrated Experience working with CAMEO.

    + Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions.

    + Must have experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g., specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.).

    + Demonstrated ability to interface and collaborate with cross-functional, multi-discipline teams to deliver engineering outcomes

    + Experience in providing presentations of results and progress to customers and senior management.

    + Must be a US Citizen

    + Active US Government security clearance per customers requirements

    Preferred Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer:

    + Demonstrated Experience with Systems Development Lifecycle, Focus on SRR to CDR.

    + Strong written and verbal communication with sound leadership skills, including negotiation and decision-making.

    + Able to write and implement engineering plans within a project.

    + Experience developing solutions in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers is required.

    + Must possess the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

    + Able to write and implement engineering plans within a project.

     

    Salary Range: $163,200.00 - $244,800.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
