Responsible for the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill the professional role functions of the registered nurse in the recovery room. Current Missouri RN License Must have the ability to perform nursing activities in the post-operative settings. Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing when solving problems and making decisions. Within six months to one year of employment as a post-operative nurse, must be able to function independently within the recovery room to provide individualized care to the surgical patient.
