Description
As a Senior Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) Specialist, you will provide assessment and treatment, individual and family therapy, crisis support, and consult with community partners to create positive change. You will work within a trauma informed, family-based framework of program, including using crisis de-escalation strategies, coping and safety plans, and parenting supports through a strengths-based, family centered approach. You will report to the HBCI Team Lead and work onsite with travel required.
Responsibilities:
+ Engage and form positive relationship with all youth and families served.
+ Complete all mandatory trainings according to programmatic guidelines.
+ Display basic competency in de-escalation techniques.
+ Work as part of a team with colleagues (HBCI interventionists, clinicians, supervisors, and other administrative and functional support staff).
+ Communicate with internal and external customers, including county workers, medical staff, parents, etc.
+ Complete and maintain documentation to meet programmatic and regulatory standards.
+ Apply curriculum and appropriate practice models.
+ Form positive relationships with more challenging youth and families.
+ Work independently on higher acuity cases.
+ Collaborate with other providers and advocate for needs of client effectively.
+ Think quickly and problem solve in the moment during a crisis situation.
+ Support client's self-efficacy and change processes.
Requirements and Education:
+ A Masters degree with at least one year of related experience. Two years or more of related experience is desired.
+ LMSW or LMHC licensure is preferred.
+ Must have a valid NYS drivers license.
