Job Description

Under the direction of a designated mentor, the Welding Apprentice will be trained in welding preparation including:

+ MIG welding

+ Robotic Welding

+ Metal Finishing operations to manufacture products to customer drawings and specifications

Essential Functions:

+ Follow all Spacesaver safety policies and procedures

+ Perform Standard Work by following Work/Operator Instructions/Training

+ Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor

+ Understand and practice 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)

Required Skills

Qualifications

+ Enrolled in a youth apprenticeship program through high school or college curriculum

+ Enrolled in or taken Technical Education courses associated with welding and/or fabrication

+ Ability to work Monday through Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m.
