The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for enterprise-wide leadership, guidance and strategy development for the talent acquisition team and hiring leaders across Care Initiatives. This includes designing, planning, and implementing talent strategies and processes for best in class full-cycle recruitment that support diversity and brand strategies as well as retention strategies. Lead, coach and develop a high-performing talent acquisition team that will source a network of high performing talent. This position is both strategic and hands-on and ensures that all people-associated processes, and employee information are streamlined, efficient, and effective in support of Care Initiative’s people initiatives.
What you'd do as the Director of Talent Acquisition at Care Initiatives:
+ Design, develop and implement talent acquisition strategies, guidance, and processes necessary to support and drive current and future talent needs that provide a best in class, full-cycle recruitment, and sourcing program that support our multifaceted organization.
+ Collaborate with leaders to determine talent needs and challenges, utilizing that information to create proactive and strategic talent attraction strategies that provide excellent candidate and internal customer experience, in addition to meeting diversity needs and driving our employee brand in the talent marketplace.
+ Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing talent acquisition team that drives all aspects of the recruiting process including applicant tracking system management, talent sourcing, internal staffing agency, support talent strategy and workforce planning initiatives.
+ In addition to people development and proactive leadership support, responsibilities include budgetary and vendor management, as well as systems and process management, that aligns with talent acquisition.
+ Strategize with leadership to develop and foster relationships in the community that will enhance our recruitment pipeline and the perception of Care Initiatives in the communities we serve.
+ Serve as a positive change agent via enhancing process improvement and developing best practices, sourcing strategies, and metrics to measure success.
+ Identify key performance indicators for the organization’s talent acquisition function; leverage the applicant tracking system to develop metrics and analytics that provide insights, drive decision-making and measure team productivity, deliver reports and data as required.
+ Ensure candidate experience is focused on customer service excellence and represents our company culture and core values.
+ Support employment branding by partnering with our marketing and communications teams to create compelling content for passive candidates to engage with our talent brand.
+ Manages additional responsibilities as requested to accomplish department and overall Care Initiatives goals and objectives.
What it takes to become the Director of Talent Acquisition with Care Initiatives:
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
+ Minimum 5 years of recruiting/sourcing experience within long-term care, healthcare or related service or industry highly preferred.
+ 3 years of leadership experience ideally developing and managing a formalized talent acquisition team.
+ Experience developing an in-house, full cycle recruiting experience.
+ Experience in strategic workforce planning.
+ Strong interpersonal and motivation skills; ability to build relationships across the organization and influence change.
+ Proven experience building, leading, and refining the skillsets of a multifaceted remote talent development team.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP preferred.
+ This position offers flexible scheduling: ability to serve out of our Home Office in West Des Moines, remote, and/or hybrid. There will be infrequent travel, approximately 2-3 times a quarter (up to 12 times annually). Expectations include onsite within our Home Office and/or the possibility of participating in field-related operations aligning meetings.
