Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Ashburn, Virginia. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, and supporting office operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual seeking to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices with attention to accuracy and timeliness.

• Prepare and complete daily bank deposits while maintaining detailed records.

• Review monthly financial statements to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.

• Manage purchase orders, vendor quotes, and expense tracking.

• Maintain organized files, records, and databases for efficient retrieval and reporting.

• Assist in coordinating office operations and administrative tasks as needed.

• Answer and direct incoming calls promptly and professionally.

• Open, sort, and distribute mail to ensure smooth communication flow within the office. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems such as QuickBooks and Procurify.

• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial statement preparation.

• Experience with daily bank deposits and expense analysis.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.

• Effective communication skills to handle calls and correspondence efficiently.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
