Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Parsippany, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract position that offers a blend of on-site and remote work, requiring four days in the office and one day from home. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the overall efficiency of accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable (AP) transactions, including invoice verification and payment scheduling.

• Manage accounts receivable (AR) activities, such as invoicing and payment tracking.

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and complete.

• Execute daily accounting operations and transactions with precision and timeliness.

• Enter and maintain financial data in systems like QuickBooks, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

• Utilize Excel tools such as v-lookups and pivot tables to analyze financial data.

• Monitor billing functions and ensure proper documentation and reporting.

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting workflows and address discrepancies.

• Provide support during audits by organizing and supplying necessary documentation. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables.

• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks for managing financial data.

• Ability to perform accurate and detailed account reconciliations.

• Excellent data entry skills with a focus on precision and efficiency.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams.
