    Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

    Job Description

    As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of industrial construction equipment. You will utilize hand and power tools to perform assembly and disassembly tasks, disassemble industrial-sized construction equipment, and conduct maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, rebuilds, troubleshooting, and motor swaps.

    Responsibilities

    + Utilize hand and power tools to complete assembly and disassembly tasks.

    + Disassemble and perform maintenance on industrial-sized construction equipment such as ready mix trucks, excavators, drill rigs, cranes, and forklifts.

    + Conduct preventive maintenance, rebuilds, tear downs, and troubleshooting.

    + Perform motor swaps and fuel pump rebuilds.

    + Lift equipment and tools up to 50lbs.

    + Work both indoors in the shop and outdoors in the yard.

    + Follow and promote safety rules and practices.

    + Maintain a clean yard area to ensure a safe and workable environment.

    + Report any observed problems to the supervisor, including storage, placement of parts, or equipment malfunctions.

    + Communicate discovered repair issues to the manager.

    + Report to the Shop Manager for the daily repair schedule.

    + Assess necessary repairs to fleet vehicles and perform routine and preventive maintenance.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

    + Experience with diesel engines and preventive maintenance.

    + Ability to read and understand schematics.

    + Knowledge of heavy and construction equipment maintenance.

    + Experience with diesel rebuild and drill rigs.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in an industrial shop and yard setting, utilizing various tools and equipment. The environment requires physical activity, including lifting up to 50lbs, and involves both indoor and outdoor work.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Land O Lakes, Florida.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
