Job Title: Sanitation Lead

Job Description

The Sanitation Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the food manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation for equipment, surfaces, and work areas to comply with food safety regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

+ Perform routine and deep cleaning of production lines, machinery, workstations, and facility surfaces according to established sanitation protocols.

+ Operate cleaning equipment such as hoses, pressure washers, and floor scrubbers safely and efficiently.

+ Mix and apply cleaning solutions in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company safety standards.

+ Complete and maintain accurate sanitation logs, records, and documentation for inspections and audits.

+ Conduct visual inspections to ensure cleaning effectiveness and report any deviations or maintenance needs.

+ Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and all relevant food safety procedures.

+ Collaborate with production teams to ensure sanitation schedules align with production timelines.

+ Wear and maintain proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during sanitation tasks.

+ Assist in preparing for third-party audits and internal inspections by ensuring cleanliness and compliance across the facility.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical sanitation.

+ Mechanical ability and knowledge of cleaning equipment operation.

+ Leadership skills to effectively guide and manage sanitation processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with FDA regulations and food safety practices.

+ Ability to work collaboratively with production teams.

Work Environment

The facility offers a clean environment with the pleasant aroma. It is a GMP environment featuring gravity-fed high-speed packaging equipment. . The facility is well-lit and spacious, with plans to expand. However, it is not climate-controlled and can get hot in the summer. The position is for the 3rd shift, from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with the expectation of overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Elgin, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr.
