Summary This position is located in the Government Accountability Office (GAO), Financial Management and Business Operations (FMBO), Office of Special Assistant to the Controller (OSAC). As a Management Analyst you will be responsible for evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of GAO policies, programs, and operations. Responsibilities As a Management Analyst, PT- 0343- 2, your typical work assignments may include the following: Collaborates with staff and managers to examine administrative programs and operations to develop strategic objectives and business plans that focus on improving program performance and achieving mission outcomes. Gathers and analyzes a variety of data including Financial Management and Business Operations budget, staffing/special project assignments and performance data and makes recommendation to support programmatic initiatives. Represents Financial Management and Business Operations as the primary point of contact and liaison for various agency-wide initiatives. Assists with developing strategies that focus on achieving results and forecasting trends into program planning initiatives for the Controllers Office such as planning and equitable budget allocations. Documents business process and develop standard of operating procedures (SOP) for essential unit functions. Qualifications To be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the qualification requirements. Please be sure to include this information in your resume. You may qualify at the BAND II level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band, equivalent to the PT-I, PE-I, or GS-11 level in the federal service, which has equipped the applicant with the skills and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as analyzing, evaluating, and developing GAO policies to assess financial program activities that impact the effectiveness of administrative programs. You must meet all qualifications requirements before the announcement closes. Education There is no education requirement for this position.
