We are seeking a **_Research Technologist_** to be a member of the study team and assist with various laboratory and data analysis duties. The study: 'A Human-based Approach to Determine the “Cross-Reactivity” of Developmental Immunotoxicants on Neurodevelopment' is researching the 'cross-reactivity' of developmental immunotoxicants on neurodevelopment, advanced cellular models like human monocyte-derived macrophages, induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived microglia, and iPSC-derived brain organoids which offer promising avenues for research. Understanding these complex interactions is crucial for assessing the risks of environmental exposures and developing targeted strategies to protect against developmental neurotoxicity. The technologist will work under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
+ Perform cell culture work, in vitro chemical exposures, flow cytometric analysis, ELIZA/Luminex assays, RT-qPCR.
+ Maintain accurate and up to date documentation including data entry on all experiments.
+ Maintain accurate lab notes on experiments and outcomes
+ Perform data analysis
+ Integrate the day-to-day activities with other members of the research team to carry out the study.
+ Submit required paperwork to ensure that laboratory tests and other research procedures related to the protocol can be completed as scheduled.
+ Perform general lab maintenance duties.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.
+ Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Some related post-undergraduate work experience preferred.
