You might also assist with case management at homeless shelters. This role requires 24/7 availability on a rotating schedule.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Build strong, respectful relationships with clients, families, and community supports to share important information effectively.

    • Use assessments to understand and respond to clients’ needs and goals.

    • Guide clients to local resources and help them access support services.

    • Develop collaborative care plans tailored to each individual’s unique needs, involving their friends, family, and community.

    • Pursue your own professional growth and share knowledge with your team.

    • Advocate for clients, addressing challenges related to rights, legal issues, and finances.

    • Support clients in career and education goals by connecting them with relevant resources.

    • Apply crisis prevention and intervention techniques suited to each situation.

    • Follow all department guidelines and complete your work professionally and on time.

    • Promote quality care, safety, and cultural respect within the team and with patients.

    • Provide age-appropriate care that meets patients’ physical, emotional, and educational needs.

    • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with patients, families, and staff.

    • Stay up-to-date on all compliance regulations and participate in required training.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.

    • 1-2 years of experience in social services.

    • Strong knowledge of psychiatric terms, mental health conditions, and community resources.

    • Skilled in human services theory and practice at the master’s level.

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

    • Commitment to completing training and continuing education.
