Sodexo is #NowHiring our Environmental Services - Custodial Manager for Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC. Our successful candidate will have reliable transportation, be fully aware of local, state, and federal safety laws and be willing to learn Sodexo cleaning best practices to include 7 steps to clean. Our leader will foster a work environment where people feel safe and welcomed. Strong written and verbal communication are critical to success in the role. This is a potential sale, and contingent offers will be made.

What You'll Do

+ Order material and stay within the allocated budget set by the director

+ Foster an environment where people feel safe and welcomed

+ Exemplify strong communication both vertical and horizontal

+ Think "quickly" and make decisions on the fly

+ Be strategic to stay ahead of client needs

+ Ensure a safe working environment through campus for all employees

+ Support the team for events, M-F with occasional weekend shifts

+ Stand, Sit and Work actively for work shifts to assist the team with typical, hands custodial work on when needed

+ Operate custodial equipment including but not limited to wet - dry vacuums, extractors, buffers, sprayers, auto scrubbers and electric carts

What You Bring

+ Reliable transportation

+ Experience leading and managing a team and is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a healthcare housekeeping system

+ Experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines

+ In-depth knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures

+ A results and safety driven approach to work

+ Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion

+ Ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading customer committees and change management
