Security Officer – Full Time

**Location:** Colorado Springs, CO

**Rate:** $16.83/HR

**Available Schedule:** Sun - Thurs: 11PM - 7PM

At Securitas, on-site Security Officers are the foundation of our organization. Our Officers are trained to provide a high level of professionalism and specialization for their assignments, help safeguard people, property, and information.

What Your Day May Look Like:

+ Greet site visitors, vendors, delivery personnel, client, and aid as needed.

+ Conduct internal patrol and/or external mobile patrol as required to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, unauthorized persons, inspects grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear.

+ Monitor entrance/exits and provide guidance to residents, resident guests, delivery drivers, vendors, and public safety authorities.

+ Complete daily activity (DAR), incident reports and logs via Securitas and client systems.

+ Provide an atmosphere in which all residents, client employees, site visitors, client, and Management know their needs are being met.

+ Present a good image to client, residents, public, and Management.

+ Operate in a calm manner and directs persons who cause disruption to leave property.

+ Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others.

+ Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to client, Company Management, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site.

+ Act to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards.

+ Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

+ Report alarms in accordance with client requirements.

+ Monitor cameras.

Position Requirements:

+ 18 years of age or older.

+ High School Diploma or GED Required.

+ Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.

+ Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift.

+ Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift.

+ Must have a personal vehicle, Colorado Driver’s License, and a clean driving record due to required mobile patrol.

+ Must have the ability to maintain excellent attendance.

+ Must understand the nature of customer service and interactions with the public.

+ Must have grave shift availability.

+ Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.

+ Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.

+ Must be able to interact with and greet site visitors, residents, site visitors, client, or client employees in a positive manner, while maintaining excellent customer service.

+ Intermediate computer/technology skills needed to ensure completion of daily activity reports / logs via handheld devices and ability to report alarms in accordance with client requirements.

+ Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills to assist residents, vendors, public, client, Site Supervisor, and Office Management.

+ Must be open to communication and feedback from client, Site Supervisor and Office Management.

+ Must be able to respond to emergencies, with rapid and effective judgment, and use appropriate escalation and force if required.

+ Must be able to work in a team environment to ensure site/organizational goals are achieved daily.

+ Must be able to remain organized and professional.

+ Must be able to learn and adhere to security operations.

+ Must provide high quality customer service in-person, via radio, and over the telephone.

+ Must be able to complete 1 day each of day, swing, and graveyard training to ensure thorough training.

+ Must be able to obtain Colorado Springs Guard Card license and maintain it every year.

+ Must be able to attend in-person interview and in-person orientation.

+ Security, military, or law enforcement experience a plus!
