    Respiratory Therapist – Per Diem (Nights)

    Are you a skilled Respiratory Therapist looking for flexible per diem night shifts? Baystate Health invites you to join our dedicated Respiratory Care team in Springfield, MA, where your expertise will help provide exceptional care across all age groups.

     

    What You’ll Do

    As a Respiratory Therapist under general supervision, you’ll perform a full range of respiratory care duties including:

    + Operating and maintaining respiratory equipment for infants through adults

    + Obtaining arterial blood gas samples and assisting in cardiopulmonary resuscitation

    + Performing EKG tracings and documenting patient therapies accurately

    + Delivering safe, compassionate care while respecting patient privacy and dignity

    + Applying your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, lung disease pathology, and pharmacology

    + Adapting to new equipment and clinical situations with confidence

    + Collaborating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

    What We’re Looking For

    + Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy

    + Minimum 3 years of clinical experience (effective 8/3/2014)

    + Strong knowledge of respiratory care theory, equipment, and patient assessment

    + Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse healthcare team

    + Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering respectful care

    Associates of Science: Respiratory Therapy (Required)

    Certifications:

    Basic Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association, Certified Respiratory Care - American Association of Respiratory Care, Registered Respiratory Therapist - Other, Registered Respiratory Therapist - State of Massachusetts
