Staff Accountant

What You’ll Do:

+ Process day-to-day accounting transactions and ensure accuracy of financial records.

+ Process accounts payable and assist with related reconciliations.

+ Assist with payroll processing, salary management, and related reconciliations.

+ Support budgeting and forecasting activities, preparing reports to aid leadership decision-making.

+ Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end close.

+ Collaborate with a small team to streamline processes and maintain strong internal controls.

+ Contribute to special projects and help improve financial processes to better support the organization’s mission.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

+ 1 or more years of professional accounting experience, including preparation of monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flows).

+ Experience with budgets, variance analysis, and both restricted/unrestricted grants reporting.

+ Familiarity with preparing Form 5500s and 990s is a plus.

+ Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.

+ Willingness to work on-site three days a week in a supportive, small-office setting.
