    Description

    We are looking for a skilled Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis. This position is based in Chicago, Illinois, and requires an individual with a strong background in financial management and bookkeeping practices, a huge benefit if you have any HR or office management in your background.     Responsibilities:

    • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.

    • Utilize QuickBooks to monitor and update accounts payable and accounts receivable.

    • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

    • Prepare and post journal entries to reflect financial activities in the general ledger.

    • Support month-end closing processes by verifying data and preparing necessary reports.

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

    • Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and provide solutions.

    • Generate financial statements and other reports as required.

    • Assist in streamlining bookkeeping processes for efficiency.

     

    Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of financial principles.

     

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting tools.

    • Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

    • Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.

    • Experience with preparing journal entries and supporting month-end close processes.

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Knowledge of compliance standards in financial management.

    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
