Description Are you an organized and detail-oriented accounts payable detail oriented looking for your next opportunity? Our client in Rocky Hill, CT, is seeking a contract-to-permanent Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This position offers the chance to showcase your skills in a dynamic environment and transition into a permanent role with the company. Key Responsibilities: Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and approvals. Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments, negotiate terms when needed, and resolve payment discrepancies. Match purchase orders to invoices and verify receipt of goods or services. Maintain and update financial records, vendor profiles, and payment schedules. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end closing activities. Prepare payments by check, ACH, or wire transfer while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve issues related to accounts payable. Requirements 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables). Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workflow effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
