Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Accountant to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and overall integrity of payroll operations and financial data. This opportunity is ideal for someone meticulous and eager to contribute their expertise to a dynamic environment within the gambling industry.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain the accuracy and reliability of payroll-related financial data and reports.
• Ensure full compliance with payroll tax regulations and filing requirements.
• Conduct audits, reconciliations, and analyses of payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Handle garnishment processing and ensure proper withholding procedures.
• Manage compliance reporting for employee tips and related payroll processes.
• Prepare and review payroll reports, including tax filings and audit documentation.
• Support the implementation and optimization of the Workday system for payroll functions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline payroll operations and improve efficiency.
• Provide expertise in payroll processes for large employee groups, ensuring adherence to company and legal standards.
• Act as a resource for resolving complex payroll-related inquiries and issues. Requirements • At least 5 years of experience in payroll accounting or a similar role.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with high accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as Workday, Kronos, or UKG Pro.
• Familiarity with payroll tax reporting and garnishment processes.
• Ability to manage payroll for large employee populations, exceeding 500 staff.
• Experience preparing compliance and audit reports related to payroll operations.
