*What you'll do: *

* Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration.

* Educate patients and document patient interactions.

* Practice infection control and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within your scope of practice.

* Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.

* Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice.

* Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting.

* Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration.

* Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:

* Internal candidates

* Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago

* Candidates with less than 1 year of experience as an RN

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met :

* Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)

* Must remain in original department/specialty

* Must remain in original Job Title

Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

*Experience/Specialized Skills:*

* Completion of accredited RN program

* Previous RN experience in Emergency Services or Urgent Care

*Required Certification/Registration:*

* Current CA license

* Current American Heart Associate Healthcare Provider BLS, ACLS and PALS certificate

*Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:*

* 1 years RN experience in Emergency Department or Urgent Care within the past 3 years

* BSN

* CEN
