Job Title: Compounding TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Compounding Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately measuring and mixing ingredients, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

+ Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to specific formulations and recipes.

+ Perform precise weighing and calculations to ensure correct ingredient proportions.

+ Follow batch cards meticulously to prepare batches according to specifications.

+ Operate and maintain compounding equipment and machinery.

+ Conduct product inspections to ensure all products meet quality and safety standards.

+ Provide samples for quality control testing for the lab.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

+ Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

+ Document all processes and maintain accurate records of batches.

+ Collaborate with quality control and production teams to ensure consistency and quality of products.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the compounding process.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in compounding, GMP, mixing, and batch making.

+ Proficiency in weighing, distillation, and working with chemicals.

+ Familiarity with laboratory, production, and blender operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in food science or a related field is a plus.

+ Previous experience in a compounding or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food and beverage industry.

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

+ Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.

+ Good communication and teamwork skills.

+ Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation.

+ Ability to lift and move heavy ingredients and equipment as needed.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing-type setting where employees will wear uniforms provided by the company. During the summer months, shorts are allowed due to the heat. The culture is that of a small, family-owned company with a 'work hard, play hard' ethos, including events like barbecue weeks and bagel/pizza parties. The role requires a high level of independence, with a need to perform calculations for product specifications and maintain thorough documentation. Attention to detail is crucial, as the position involves working with expensive ingredients.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
