Immediate Hirring For Machine Operator

Job Description

We are in search of a dedicated and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves overall line responsibility from production to packaging, operating the computer system for our bottle machines, stacking finished products, monitoring production, and pulling samples for the lab. You will record production and issues during your shift, ensuring goods are produced and packaged correctly and in accordance with specifications. Regular standing, walking, and reaching are part of daily tasks, with lifting requirements ranging from 10 lbs regularly to occasionally 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

+ Operate the computer system controlling bottle machines.

+ Monitor production and pull samples for quality assurance.

+ Record production data and any issues encountered during shifts.

+ Ensure goods are produced and packaged in correct quantities and specifications.

+ Work efficiently and harmoniously with the team.

+ Regularly stand, walk, reach, and lift weights as part of daily tasks.

Work Environment

Our company specializes in manufacturing bottles and caps for products like shampoo, conditioner, mouth wash, and hand soap. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, long pants (jeans or khakis), and a t-shirt, with ear plugs and hair nets provided. You must adhere to GMP guidelines. The shifts are 12-hour switch shifts, with schedules A/C and B/D: 6:00pm-6:30am. There is a 30-day probationary training period with shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM, following a 2 on 2 off, 3 on 3 off schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Iowa City, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
