    Job Title: Corn Sorter

    Job Description

    As a Corn Sorter, you will monitor a conveyor to ensure that all corn passing through is viable. You will be tasked with pulling any corn that appears discolored, rotten, or as a different crop to the discard pile. Additionally, any corn still with husk should be pulled and sent for re-work. This role requires standing for prolonged periods and occasional walking up and down stairs. Please note the environment is not temperature-controlled and may be dusty due to corn and insecticides.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor conveyor for viable corn and pull out discolored or rotten pieces.

    + Send husked corn to re-work for de-husking.

    + Stand for long periods and occasionally walk stairs.

    + Adhere to strict tobacco-free policy at the worksite.

    + Work 48-60 hours weekly, available all 7 days with rotating days off.

    + Attend training likely for the first 3 days from 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM.

    Essential Skills

    + Must wear steel-toed shoes.

    + Must not be colorblind.

    + Ability to stand for long periods.

    + Ability to climb stairs occasionally.

    + Must be able to speak and read English.

    + No education required.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Preferred experience in general labor, production, packing, bagging, cleaning, sorting, tagging, and quality.

    + Resume preferred but not required.

    Work Environment

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
