Project Description (include Deliverables and Timelines for services to be provided):
The primary purpose of this contractual service agreement is to provide applications development and support for various UI-related applications, as identified and prioritized by the UI Division to meet their FY26 goals. This contract positions will enable uninterrupted day-to-day applications development support to address customer database needs. The hours for projects requested by the UI business division exceed the available State programming resources, so these resources will enable BITS to staff to meet UIs needs for their FY26 SLA
The UI database architect: recommends and maintains data management policy; provides expert technical leadership to the applications development and technical staff. Can do data modeling, data fixes, performance tuning, analysis of query and indexes, analysis of data structure and data definition, for the UI benefits system for both Oracle and DB2 databases. Has knowledge of SQL server and Cloud SQL.
Well qualified candidates will have very strong HANDS-ON DBA experience with large application systems, i.e. 1000+ programs, 300+ tables, and 8+ years in DB2/CICS/Oracle environments or equivalent. Also experience with large system, or equivalent, using Platinum, ERWin, Omegamon, ChangeMan, CNTL-M or like tools; and significant IT related knowledge.
