Full Time
Responsibilities:
+ Apply evidence-based practice and research to improve clinical care and influence patient outcomes.
+ Collaborate fully as a member of the care team, providing assistance and partnership when needed.
+ Develop and implement individualized, patient-centered care plans using the nursing process and Relationship Based Care principles.
+ Build and maintain positive working relationships with patients, colleagues, and external partners, demonstrating accountability, enthusiasm, and cultural sensitivity.
+ Model healthy work-life balance, safe work hours, and report safety hazards promptly.
+ Educate patients, families, students, and new staff using adult learning principles to support care and smooth transitions.
+ Serve as a preceptor and foster a culture of open communication and continuous learning.
+ Identify and address clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual needs through critical thinking and effective communication.
+ Maintain thorough documentation that facilitates clear communication among care providers.
+ Participate actively in shared governance, unit goal setting, and support change initiatives to improve care quality and work environment.
+ Engage in unit-based quality improvement projects by identifying opportunities and promoting patient satisfaction.
+ RN experience preferred.
+ OB experience strongly preferred.
+ Capable of working effectively in a complex environment with multiple priorities and specialized equipment.
+ Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
+ Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
+ Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
