    Job Summary

    The Office for Sustainability Education seeks a student intern to help Applied Sustainability Learning and the Sapling Program at the University of Utah. Enrolled students from all majors and disciplines are encouraged to apply.

     

    The Office for Sustainability Education empowers students, employees, and the wider community to build a sustainable future through education, engagement, and collaborative action.

     

    Intern will assist the SAPling Program and support the development of Applied Sustainability Learning resources through outreach, resource development, program tracking, data entry, administrative support, and campus-centric opportunities. Most importantly, the intern will help the Office for Sustainability Education make the SAPling program and Applied Sustainability Learning fun and exciting for the whole campus.

    Responsibilities

    Students selected as the Applied Sustainability Learning intern will be assigned roles that focus on one or more of the following areas:

    + Track projects as they move through various administrative processes;

    + Enter all projects and applications into a database that can be utilized for tracking and other reporting;

    + These projects will also be compiled into a document that will be published on the website

    + Work with the faculty to help promote SAPling and Applied Sustainability projects;

    + Compile resources to support students engaged in Applied Sustainability learning;

    + Curate and create Applied Sustainability resources in coordination with Program Manager;

    Minimum Qualifications

    Must be a University of Utah full-time student.

     

    Preferences

     

    Internships are open to all majors.

     

    Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, public speaking ability, as well as organizational capacity. Experiences with program development, project management, stakeholder engagement are a plus.

     

    Experience with ASANA and Canva are a plus, but not required for consideration.
