Job Description
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Program, troubleshoot, and operate programmable controllers, distributive control systems, and interlocking systems
• Install equipment for new electrical services (120v, 240v, and 480v three phase), including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contactors, relays, times and controls
• Perform work on site automation system to the component level including components that require 0–10-volt signal or 4-20 milliamp signal repair
• Perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work; install or replace circuit breakers, fuses, and variable speed
• Work on electrical equipment including but not limited to Frequency Ddrives (VFDs), contactors, overload devices, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring
• Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, distribution systems, motor control centers, and motors
• Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime
• Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
• Stay up to date on new products, equipment, technology and techniques
• Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
• Exhibit the ability to anticipate parts requirements for the tasks, follow proper purchasing procedures, and acquire parts ahead of anticipated task performance
• Perform and assist in all operations maintenance activities, in accordance with national, state and local electrical codes
• Use a computerized maintenance management system (e.g., SAP) to record and access maintenance related information
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from trade school or technical school in related discipline preferred
• 2 to 4 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and automation system maintenance experience
• Certification and/or License – Electrician journeyman license or other location specific electrician license; master electrician preferred
