Monitor Tech - PRN- Nights- ICU - St. Mary's Hospital, Athens, GA
Position Purpose:
The Monitor Tech will work in the ICU Department at St. Mary's Hospital, Athens, GA.
What you will do:
The Monitor Tech is responsible for obtaining, analyzing and accurately documenting patient rhythm strips under the supervision of an RN.
Other job responsibilities may include but are not limited to: interpreting and processing physician orders, answering phones, maintaining telemetry units
Some limited patient care (ex. Feeding, dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and vital signs). This should be performed under the supervision of an RN or the Nurse Manager.
What you will need:
**Licensure/Certification/Registration:** Nursing Assistant certification preferred. BLS certification required.
**Education:** Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalent.
**Experience:** 1 year of telemetry and clerical duties preferred. Hospital or Clinical experience preferred
**Special Qualifications:** Computer skills required. Medical terminology preferred.
