    Job Description

    Utilize the program timeline to clearly communicate deliverables and due dates to all stakeholders.

     

    Manage a gate process and seek appropriate signoff documentation at each event.

     

    Act as a central communication point for the team to ensure that each team member is aware of their deliverables and timing commitments at all times.

     

    Manage the team to meet cost, timing, manufacturing, and quality targets.

     

    Work with automotive customers (e.g., Nissan & Honda).

     

    Design, develop, and launch production experience.

    Use program management tools:

    - Create checklists to ensure the team is delivering.

     

    - Manage cost, delivery, and quality.

     

    Maintain good morale and a positive team environment.

     

    Lead without direct reports, ensuring accountability and delivery from others.

     

    Collaborate closely with the design engineering team, primarily through Teams meetings and build events.

     

    Work with the purchasing team and process engineering team in the plant, dealing with equipment and tooling.

     

    Coordinate with the quality team and gages to kick off support.

     

    Work with the supply chain management team on freight and packaging.

     

    Ensure readiness by moving from gate to gate.

     

    Conduct weekly meetings with various teams, setting up program manager meetings and cross-functional meetings to discuss timing and deliverables.

     

    Earn the respect of the team.

     

    Work remotely, being self-sufficient and experienced in working independently.

     

    Focus on managing a timeline, establishing schedules based on customer requirements (e.g., build in January, April, September) and working backwards to align tasks.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business-related discipline OR 5 years of Automotive experience in Engineering/Program Management

     

    3-5 years of experience in program management/engineering management

     

    Experience managing a team to meet cost, timing, manufacturing, and quality targets

     

    Project timeline and planning experience

     

    Strong Excel experience

     

    Program Management experience (ability to use program management software or Excel for project planning)

     

    Good presentation skills and ability to use PowerPoint Nissan or Honda experience

     

    Product experience within automotive dealing with interiors & trim

     

    SAP/PLM/PLEX software experience

     

    Microsoft Project experience

    PMP certification null
