The LED Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting all library outreach events, workshops, and programs. This role also provides administrative support to various programs through the libraries. It involves managing promotional
materials (including handouts, brochures, and branded items) used by multiple library units, ensuring they are ordered, organized, distributed, and restocked as needed.
Additionally, the coordinator generates reports on key events to support assessment and inform future planning efforts.
As part of their responsibilities, the LED Program Coordinator manages scheduling, creates project timelines, maintains multiple calendaring systems for library programming, and
coordinates event listings across campus-wide calendars and digital platforms to ensure accuracy and visibility. In addition, they will supervise student employees, overseeing hiring, training, workflow management, coaching, and performance evaluation.

Opportunities to Contribute
+ Coordinates and supports all library outreach events, workshops, and programs (e.g., Library Open House, Fish Camp, instructional events), including volunteer and student employee staffing.
+ Ensures library resources are distributed in a manner that is responsive to needs of multiple library units and campus partners.
+ Liaises with appropriate campus units to secure necessary permits, forms, technology support, and risk compliance in alignment with university policies for library programming.
+ Schedules and maintains multiple calendaring systems for library instructional sessions, workshops, and programs; assists librarians with instruction and outreach scheduling, and ensures calendar accuracy across digital displays and the library website.
+ Ensures that technology is in working order in classrooms and provides a point of contact for librarians in case of issues.
+ Compiles system for tracking event programming statistics.
+ Manages event and promotional budgets, including inventory tracking and report generation.
+ Supervises 3–5 student employees, overseeing hiring, training, workflow, and performance, and preparing them to provide administrative support and customer service.
+ Collaborates with LED unit, University Library colleagues, and other University departments to enhance library partnerships and to contribute to the needs of our students and faculty.
+ Participates in team projects or special assignments for the University Library.
Salary: $ 55,100.04 annually
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Two years of related experience.
+ Ability to move medium weight boxes, books, heavy book truck or similar items.
+ Ability to pull/push standard book cart, wagon of supplies.
A well-qualified candidate for this position will also possess:
+ Three years of administrative or project management experience.
+ Previous experience with outreach, event management, and/or office management.
+ Experience working in academic libraries.
+ Knowledge of common classroom technology such as, projectors, Smartboards, etc.
+ General knowledge of library services, functions, web authoring tools, and calendaring systems (examples include: LibGuides, LibCal, LibAnswers, Four Winds Interactive, TeamWork, SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook, etc.).
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
+ Knowledge of email, word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as customer service skills.
+ Strong planning and organizational skills.
