    Description: A Design Modeler job in Windsor, CT is currently available through Belcan at one of our key Industrial clients. To be considered for this role, you will have an associate's degree in engineering science or equivalent 4+ years of relevant experience.

     

    A Mechanical Design Modeler job is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time direct job with benefits. Great matching candidates will have at least four years of mechanical design engineering experience and at least Associates in Engineering or equivalent work experience. You will be working as part of multidisciplinary team to design a layout for a carbon recovery system. In this role, you will work with design engineers to lay out structural steel components, process equipment, and process piping. In addition to managing CAD assemblies and producing technical drawings, you will be reviewing the manufacturability of designs and provide input to the engineering team.

    Job Duties:

    * Solid part and assembly modeling using Autodesk Inventor 2023 and Vault 2023

    * Prepares various drawings and discipline design documents such as specifications, material and

     

    equipment lists, change orders, transmittals, etc., as required.

     

    * Create assembly models and drawings for process piping and structural steel frames

    * Develop models and interface control drawings of process equipment

    * Create assembly models and drawings of site layout

    * Perform geometric tolerance studies

    * Review designs for manufacturability

    * Complete tasks using customer standard work

    Required Qualifications:

    * Four+ years of experience in industrial drafting

    * Minimum of Associate"s degree in Engineering, Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

    * Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor CAD software and Vault PDM software

    * Practical experience with and proficiency in GD&T

    * Experience with structural steel assemblies and ASME B31.3 process piping

    * Ability to work within an integrated product development team

    * Strong interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills

    * Legal authorization to work in the US required

    Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

    * Manufacturing experience, or strong familiarity of the manufacturing processes, associated with structural steel assemblies and ASME B31.3 process piping

    * Ability to travel to customer facility on a limited basis for orientation with their technology

    * Proficiency in Siemens NX CAD software and Teamcenter PLM software

     

    We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $75,000-$115,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
