Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our manufacturing team in Plymouth, Minnesota. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions while maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and advanced proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Controller in managing the month-end close process to ensure timely completion.

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries accurately.

• Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

• Assist in gathering and organizing data for external auditors and tax accountants.

• Contribute to the preparation and reconciliation of sales and property tax returns.

• Provide support for sales tax and property tax audits.

• Handle sales tax reporting and revenue invoicing with precision.

• Collaborate on process improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to organizational accounting standards.

• Take on special projects and additional duties as assigned to meet departmental goals. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably including tax experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively.

• Proven problem-solving, analytical, and time-management abilities.
