Amazon's Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics is looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager who is passionate, innovative, and has a strong drive to automate, simplify, and solve large-scale ambiguous problems. The Devices Technologies team is responsible for products and services that manage Amazon's edge compute fleet - comprising over 1,000,000 devices across 3000+ locations worldwide, serving both Global Fulfillment and Transportation (first, middle, and last mile). Our systems manage everything from leading-edge robotics to delivery stations around the world. We deliver innovative technical solutions to facilitate the massive growth in Amazon's global compute capabilities.
The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) within Outposts Infrastructure Management is responsible for planning, executing, managing, and reporting on large-scale infrastructure programs that enable the successful deployment and operation of Amazon Outposts worldwide. This role ensures the successful implementation and management of critical Outposts infrastructure by driving collaboration between Software Development, Operations, Network Engineering, field teams, program management, and application teams requiring on-premise compute, while providing structured reporting and performance tracking to leadership.
In addition to managing programs, TPMs own all reporting, performance metrics, and dashboards for Outposts infrastructure management products and systems. They develop and maintain product performance tracking, infrastructure health dashboards, and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of deployments, operational efficiency, and infrastructure reliability across the Outposts fleet.
Key job responsibilities
Program & Project Management
- Drive end-to-end execution of large-scale Outposts infrastructure management programs, ensuring successful deployment and operational excellence
- Develop and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and dependencies while managing risks
- Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Software Development, Operations, Network Engineering, field and application teams
- Coordinate with application teams and business stakeholders to understand compute requirements and ensure successful implementation
Technical Leadership & Operations
- Design and implement scalable processes for Outposts infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and management
- Partner with engineering teams to develop and enhance infrastructure management services and automation
- Establish and maintain infrastructure health metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to track operational efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement in deployment processes, operational procedures, and monitoring systems
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Provide regular updates and insights to leadership on program status, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Create and deliver structured reporting on infrastructure performance, capacity utilization, and operational metrics
- Collaborate with product teams to gather requirements and influence infrastructure management roadmap
Process & Documentation
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure management processes and procedures
- Create and implement standard operating procedures for infrastructure deployment and operations
- Drive standardization efforts across infrastructure management tools and practices

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
