As a **Security Officer - Swing Shift** in **San Mateo, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading company in the tech, media, and telecom sector, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will also be expected to provide outstanding customer service, respond promptly to incidents, and communicate clearly with both team members and the public. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Availability across various days and shifts

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

+ **At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.**

+ A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
